Kelly Ripa Exposes Mark Consuelos For Not Shopping “For Anything For Christmas In 30 Years”: “Watch Mark Arrive As An Honored Guest”

Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa both know what he won’t be doing this “Twixmas.”
On Live with Kelly and Mark on Wednesday, Ripa brought up the time period between Christmas and New Year’s known as “Twixmas,” and shared some tips for how to spend this time, including “shop[ping] the post-Christmas sales from the comfort of your sofa.”
While Ripa said she prefers to physically “go into the store for the sale,” Consuelos acknowledged that he doesn’t take part in said sales.
“You haven’t shopped for anything for Christmas in 30 years,” Ripa quipped. “Since we’ve been together, I have watched you actively not shop for anything.”
Consuelos claimed, “Yeah, but if I were to shop, I’m not going on that day.”
Ripa then teased that viewers should join them — though “not all at once” due to their “limited” space in New York City — for Christmas morning “to watch Mark arrive as an honored guest.”
“And then he is shocked, shocked, I tell you, at his thoughtfulness with what he got me, the kids,” she continued. “He’s amazed. He’s always like, ‘That’s what you wanted, right?’ And I’m like, ‘Yes, it’s exactly how I wanted it.’”
Consuelos did note his one role on Christmas morning, explaining that he hides big lawn garbage bags around the room to gradually dispose of gift boxes and wrapping.
“As people are making a mess, I’m just slowly throwing it away,” he highlighted.
Ripa insisted that “you’ve never seen anything like it,” adding that “Christmas is not allowed to look like it happened there.”
Consuelos clarified, “I don’t mind it happening. I just don’t… The boxes and the gifts… it makes me nervous and it makes me eat.”
