Infant, man critically hurt in Little Village shooting
Two gunmen opened fire on a vehicle on a busy stretch of 26th Street in the Little Village neighborhood Saturday afternoon, critically wounding a 3-month-old boy and a 21-year-old man inside, according to Chicago police.
The victims were inside a car in the 3100 block of West 26th Street just after 4:30 p.m., when the gunmen got out of another vehicle and fired numerous shots into the victim’s car, police said.
The man was struck multiple times, while the boy suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. Police didn’t provide the relationship between the man and the child.
No arrests had been made as Harrison Area detectives continued their investigation.
