Danica Patrick Shares Gnarly Pics After Getting Burned at Starbucks
Danica Patrick shared the graphic aftermath of a trip to Starbucks gone wrong.
The former NASCAR driver, 42, shared a series of shocking images via Instagram Story on Sunday, December 1 after some scalding water apparently did some damage.
“Day 1 coffee burn,” Patrick posted alongside a picture of her burned left thigh. She added “Starbucks 🖕🏽.”
The photo showed a circular burn mark with a large area of redness surrounding it.
“Anyone else think their hot water is way the hell to [sic] hot?” Patrick asked, providing a bit more insight into what happened.
On the third day post-burn, Patrick posted another image of her thigh which showed an intense red circle with the area surrounding the burn mark beginning to scar.
“Day 3,” she captioned the picture, which included a meme of Kristen Wiig’s Target Lady character from Saturday Night Live looking on in disgust.
The former race car driver shared one final image of the burn, this one with a large bandage covering the area. “Cute, might delete later,” she wrote.
Patrick has been busy since officially ending her racing career in 2018, most recently as an on-air host for UK’s Sky Sports’ coverage of Formula 1.
“I am now nocturnal after that schedule 🤪 but we had a lot of fun!!!!!” Patrick posted via Instagram on Monday, November 25 after working the F1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas. “@maxverstappen1 is now 4 time champ…. In a row!”
As part of Sky Sports’ coverage, Patrick jumped out of an airplane to celebrate the big race in Vegas. “This was a race opener!!! 🛶 🛩️ 🚁 🪂,” she wrote alongside the crazy video via Instagram.
Away from racing, Patrick flaunted a new romance this summer during her time at Burning Man, the yearly art and self-expression festival hosted in the temporary city of Black Rock City, Nevada.
“In dust we trust. 🌪️,” Patrick captioned a series of photos posted via Instagram on September 5, which included two pictures of her kissing an unnamed man. “That week of the year 80,000 of us drive out to the middle of nowhere Nevada to live in an alternate reality where the currency is hugs, love and helping each other. ❤️.”
The relationship marked the first time Patrick had gone public with a partner since she split with entrepreneur Carter Comstock in March 2022 after nearly one year together.
“Burn baby burn! 🔥,” Patrick captioned another batch of photos from Burning Man, which included hanging out with friend and former NHL star Jonathan Toews. “I have never seen a better fireworks show than the night they burned the man. What a wild week of beautiful skies, cool art, hot days, cold nights, DJs from 5pm to 8am, weird sleeping hours and amazing people waiting for you no matter what hours you are awake! 🙏🏼”
