Snoop Dogg Comments On Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s Feud
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, the West Coast legend weighed in on the ongoing feud between the hip hop stars.
The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ musician told ET that he has nothing but love for both Drake and Kendrick. He gave both artists props on their pen games but decided not to pick a side.
“Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to give both of them a shout-out for raising the bar as far as lyrics, as far as song-making and writing because the writing has been upped since the confrontation or whatever you call it, whatever they went through. Those are my nephews. I’m not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that’s personal business, not my business,” Snoop explained.
Prior to his response, fans knew that it would be hard for Snoop to pick a side. They recalled the fact that he did perform alongside Kendrick during the Super Bowl LV halftime show in 2022. But just a few weeks ago, Drake used AI versions of Snoop and Tupac’s voices on his diss track to Kendrick titled, ‘Taylor Made Freestyle.’ However, Billboard reported that the Canadian rapper was forced to remove the single due to a lawsuit threat from Tupac’s estate.
Snoop Reacts To Drake’s Diss Track
Before giving his official response about the battle. Snoop actually reacted to Drake’s, ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ on Instagram. As The Shade Room previously reported, the ‘Baby Boy’ actor uploaded a video on the social platform seemingly responding to the record.
“They did what? When? How? Are you sure?” Snoop says in the clip.
He eventually sighs and then shows the Death Row Records logo on his jacket.
“Y’all have a good night. And to all…” the Cali rapper says before laughing. “Why everybody calling my phone? Blowing me up…what the f***? What happened? Snoop continued.
Now that the dust has settled between Drake and Kendrick, it’s nice to see that Uncle Snoop didn’t hold no malice against either of them.
