Omega Gold Pro – Why No Trades Is Sometimes the Best Signal – Trading Systems – 21 March 2026

Just a quick update on Omega Gold Pro this week.

It hasn’t taken any trades.

At first I thought I’d mention it because I know when people see “no trades” they assume something’s wrong — but it’s actually doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

The EA only trades when there’s a clear H4 trend.

Right now gold has been pretty neutral on H4, nothing clean enough to justify entries, so it’s just sitting and waiting.

The way I built it is pretty simple:

H4 = direction / regime  

H1 = entries (pullbacks)  

If H4 isn’t clear → no trades.

That alone avoids a lot of the chop and fake moves you get on gold.

I used to run versions that would try trade anyway… and honestly they just got eaten alive in conditions like this.

So this was one of the biggest changes — teaching it when to stay out.

This week is a good example:

• H4 = messy / sideways  

• No real structure  

• EA = does nothing  

Which is exactly what I want it to do.
