Justin Timberlake Arrested on DWI-Related Charges in New York

Justin Timberlake was arrested on DWI-related charges Monday night in Sag Harbor, NY, police confirmed to multiple outlets. 

As of this writing, the Grammy-winner is still in police custody, but he’s due in court Tuesday for arraignment, a Sag Harbor Justice Court official told Newsday.

The details of Timberlake’s arrest are scarce, but what we can tell you is the pop star appears to be in big trouble.

According to TMZ sources, an incident went down in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the little town of Sag Harbor in Long Island. 

Their sources claim that Justin was out with friends having dinner at a hotel. Just after midnight, JT got into this car to drive back to where he was staying, but was swiftly pulled over.

The charges against JT are still unknown, but while some outlets are reporting a DWI, others speculate that he’s been charged with a simple traffic violation. 

TMZ’s sources that they understand Justin was arrested In New York for a DWI. Their sources say cops performed a field sobriety test and asked Justin to take a breathalyzer test, but he refused. Apparently, there is body cam footage for this all going down!

Either way, he was still in police custody as of this morning. 

We’ll update with more information as it comes in. As it stands, the police are expected to release a statement shortly. Meanwhile, Justin nor his camp have released anything to the press yet.

Justin On Tour

JT is currently touring the country to support of his latest album, “Everything I Thought It Was,” which was released in March.

On the schedule, he was two concerts slated for both Chicago’s United Center and New York’s Madison Square Garden next week.

When the North American leg of the tour wraps on July 9 in Kentucky, he’ll be off to Europe from the end of July through September before returning to North America in October, with the last date slated for Dec. 20 in Kansas City.
