Diddy’s Guitar Is Up For Grabs
TMZ reports that GottaHaveRockandRoll expects the electric guitar, inscribed with “Luv, Puff Daddy, Bad Boy 4 Life” in silver pen ink, to fetch $2,000 or more at auction. The inscription references his 2001 hit song with the same title and his label, Bad Boy Records.
TMZ also revealed that the guitar will include a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring bidders receive a genuine item.
The listing is part of Gotta Have Rock and Roll’s Hip Hop auction, starting Wednesday (June 26). Other iconic items include Biggie Smalls’ autograph, Kanye West’s signed boots, and a nose ring owned and worn by Tupac.
Combs Drops Lawsuit Against Sean John
Diddy has stayed in the headlines over the past few months due to a viral assault video involving his ex-girlfriend Cassie, along with other ongoing scandals and lawsuits.
Recently, the media mogul drew attention by dropping his lawsuit against his fashion brand, Sean John.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Diddy, formerly known as Sean Combs, initially filed a $60 million lawsuit against Sean John for continuing to use his name in 2021.
According to AllHipHop, Diddy chose to withdraw the lawsuit following an agreement reached with GBG Sean John LLC and GBG USA Inc. As of June 21, all legal claims in New York City have been mutually dropped.
The brand’s future remains uncertain, particularly given the successive blows to Diddy’s reputation since November 2023.
Meanwhile, the disgraced producer drew new attention to himself when he wiped his Instagram clean last week, including his video apology following CNN exposing the hotel assault footage. His scrub drew mixed reactions and questions, including viral criticism from Stephen A. Smith.
