Christina Aguilera Poses Topless to Celebrate Her 44th Birthday
Happy birthday, Christina Aguilera!
The pop star took to Instagram on Wednesday, December 18, to mark her 44th with a topless portrait. In the black-and-white image, Aguilera strikes a sultry pose, crouching on a floor with her side to the camera, her platinum blonde curls grazing her bare shoulders. She sports a black leather newsboy hat, black short shorts, strappy heels and dramatic makeup.
“Birthday Suit #44,” Aguilera captioned her post.
Naturally, her fans went wild in the comment section.
“Happy Birthday, LEGENDTINA, THE BEST SINGER IN THIS F—— WORLD,” one fan gushed.
Another wrote: “Getting older in years, but younger in appearance is what I’m talking about!!!!”
Aguilera, who won five Grammy Awards during her Y2K heyday, completed a nine-month Vegas residency in August. Three months later, she performed a surprise duet with Sabrina Carpenter during Carpenter’s Short ‘N Sweet Tour concert in Los Angeles.
At the time, Aguilera strutted into the venue, wearing a black bustier and over-the-knee silver boots while performing a vocal riff that launched a rendition of “Ain’t No Other Man.” Carpenter, 25, subsequently joined her at center stage to complete the number, per social media footage. They also sang Aguilera’s “What a Girl Wants.”
In November, Aguilera shared a rare snap of her family of four via Instagram. The “Genie in a Bottle” singer posed with her fiancé, Matthew Rutler, and her two children, son Max, 16, and daughter Summer, 10. (Aguilera welcomed Max with ex-husband Jordan Bratman in 2008 and shares Summer with Rutler, 39.)
“On the way to school the other day with her dad, [Summer] said, ‘When I grow up, I want to either be Mama’s photographer or Mama’s manager.’ It’s so funny,” Aguilera told Vogue earlier this year. “So we told Will.i.am that [when he came to see the show], and he was like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s your daught-ager.’ So daught-ager is the word of the year. It’s just so cute.”
Aguilera spoke about her journey with motherhood in an interview with Haute Living in 2019, explaining how she balances her family and career in order to create a stable life for her kids.
“I made the decision for quite some time not to tour for a while because I thought it was the best thing to make a more stable, routine life for my children,” she said at the time. “Even when I took the spot on [The Voice], it wasn’t really something I wanted to pursue. I just decided, ‘It keeps me in L.A. and in a place where I can focus on my kids.’”
She added, “Everything I’ve pretty much decided to do has been influenced by [my kids], but at the same time, I need to make sure that I don’t lose myself and that I always stay grounded in what’s important for me.”
