An officer was stabbed Monday night after a stabbing victim flagged down police for help in the South Shore neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 11 p.m., a man who suffered a stab wound to the body flagged down police for help in the 1500 block of East 75th Street. The victim knew the person who stabbed him and when officers attempted to place him into custody one of them was stabbed in the arm, police said.
The officer was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in good condition. The offender was tased during the incident and was arrested.
