Jason Kelce signs a baby’s shirt at American Century Championship
Jason Kelce is having the time of his life playing in the American Century Championship.
The crowd at Edgewood Tahoe’s golf course in Nevada cheered on the former Eagles center as he went through his Friday round, but one fan in particular caught Kelce’s attention.
A man holding a young baby got Kelce to walk over the ropes mid-round, and after a short search for a pen, got the seven-time Pro Bowler to sign the back of the little one’s shirt.
A person nearby joked with him about how he was playing compared to his brother, Travis, asking the older Kelce if he was beating the Chiefs tight end.
“Man, I am the opposite of beating him,” he replied. “I’m beating myself.”
Jason’s fan interaction on Friday comes on the same day Travis had a different type of run-in with the crowd.
Travis hit a spectator with wayward shot two times, the first hitting a bystander in the arm and the second hitting someone in the head and drawing blood, according to People.
The pair had joked about possibly hitting a spectator on last week’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
“This is my first time out in Lake Tahoe, do you have any advice?” Jason asked Travis.
“My advice would be don’t feel bad if you hit somebody because they bought the ticket,” Travis joked, to which his brother immediately replied: “I don’t feel bad if I ever hit anybody.”
“It’s a bunch of amateurs out there trying to play golf so don’t feel bad,” Travis continued. “People have been hit before. They got EMTs, whatever it’s called, they got right there at every hole. Everybody will be fine.”
