Countless Ukrainian children have lost their parents since the Russian invasion. Tens of thousands more have had their lives upended as Russian troops swept across much of the country, forced from their homes, schools, friendships and prized possessions.
In response to the intrusion, the Ukrainian government quickly raised more than $70 million in cryptocurrency donations. The head of the United Nations International Computing Center explained to Cointelegraph that cryptocurrencies are one of the fastest ways to support personnel in war zones. However, the direct channel of assistance to families and children has been affected by a full-scale Russian invasion.
With the help of Cointelegraph, the nonprofit Children of Heroes is now allowing the crypto community to donate Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Tether (USDT), and several other cryptocurrencies to benefit the organization and children in Ukraine.

Estimates from the global NGO Save the Children suggest that 7.5 million children are at imminent risk of displacement or grave danger, and countless more may be missing. At the same time, at least 11 million people have been displaced.

Alisa knew her father was committed to raising a family and providing her with the best possible education. Another family that received support from the hero’s son was Kirill Jr. and his mother. Kirill’s father disappeared on his way home from get off work from the hospital, and his body was later found in a nearby village. They were forced to flee without him as their home in eastern Kharkov was destroyed, leaving the family nowhere to go as they dreamed of an end to the war.
