Balancer, a decentralized finance protocol based on Ethereum, has confirmed that its user interface is currently “under attack.”
The platform notified its community on September 19 at 11:49 pm UTC, urging users not to interact with the Balancer protocol until further notice.

Balancer said details of the attack are under investigation. The company has not yet confirmed whether user funds are safe.
However, blockchain security firms including PeckShield and blockchain analyst ZachXBT estimate that at least $238,000 in cryptocurrency was stolen.

This is the second theft from Balancer in a month, after the company warned of a critical vulnerability on August 22 that resulted in a $2 million loss days later.
