Tata Consultancy Services launches TCS Product Life Cycle Analyzer, Life cycle assessment (LCA) tool that calculates the environmental impact of an entire product line.
Businesses around the world are looking to increase sustainability by decarbonizing their supply chains, reducing their carbon footprint and establishing circular business models. Measuring the environmental impact over the life cycle of the products they make or buy is at the heart of their sustainability strategy. Furthermore, the environmental impact of any product identified through life cycle assessment will influence the purchasing decisions of environmentally conscious buyers, creating a need for powerful and scalable LCA tools.

Built in partnership with PRé Sustainability, the solution eliminates the challenges associated with traditional LCA systems, namely difficult data management, unscalable product-by-product approaches and static point-in-time reporting that provides no insight into impact scenarios or recommended actions.
“The TCS Product Life Cycle Analyzer will help our customers identify the changes they need to make to make their product value chains more sustainable and advance their climate goals,” said Suranjan Chatterjee, global head of TCS’ strategic capabilities group.
“It provides unique granular insights that enable companies to identify accurate and actionable touchpoints for intervention. This could mean supplier changes or the drive for entire new product lines to better align with the low-carbon economy.”
