California-based global preschool chain Safari Kid plans to invest Rs 100 crore for its expansion in India.
It plans to open 50 preschools by 2028, 20 of which are ready to open by March 2024.
This global pre-school chain offers quality childcare and has enrolled over 5,000 students in India alone in the past eight years.
Its programs improve early childhood brain development, skills and confidence building for well-rounded adults.
The company has also appointed veteran education entrepreneur Jitendra Karsan as the new chairman of its India operations.
Kasan said that with the support of investors and franchisees, the preschool will contribute to the development of young minds and have a lasting impact on the Indian preschool industry.
The potential of early education is on the cusp of increasing adoption in cities beyond India’s first-tier cities, as several preschool institutions enter India from global markets and Indian entities expand into wider cities. According to IMARC Group, the preschool and childcare market is expected to be worth $7.3 billion by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.2%.
Safari Kid International Preschool has over 50 centers in 7 countries.
