CYPRES HILLS, Brooklyn (WABC) — Police found a loaded semi-automatic weapon inside a Brooklyn subway station.

Just before 5 p.m. Friday, transit officers at the Cypress Hills Van Siclen Ave J/Z train station spotted a 19-year-old man walking through the emergency exit door and onto the train platform.

Traffic officers stopped the teen, citing him as a traffic offender, and searched his belongings. They recovered the loaded TEC-22 from the drawstring bag he was carrying.

The suspect, Ferrell Tucker, was arrested on a felony assault charge when he was a teenager.

Tucker is expected to be charged with weapons possession.
