Police investigating possible murder-suicide in Queens: police source

Queens Ozone Park (WABC) — Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide after a man and woman were found shot in the head in Queens on Thursday.

Police were called to the intersection of 101st Avenue and Drew Street in Ozone Park at 5:40 p.m. to reports of a shooting.

A woman who lives nearby was at the location with a man, police said.

Witnesses said the two argued loudly for a long period of time, with the man drawing his gun, shooting the woman and then turning the gun on himself.

Upon arrival, police found a 46-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to the head.

Both died before paramedics reached the scene.

As families try to cope with their sudden and violent night, police take them away.

They found a firearm at the scene.

According to police sources, the incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
