A near-production vision of the future of entry-level Mercedes cars was revealed today at the IAA mobility conference in Munich, Germany. The Mercedes-Benz CLA Concept represents the look of the upcoming family of cars that will serve as the brand’s entry-level product.
The CLA class is destined to consist of four new models: a four-door fastback, a safari and two SUVs, including a smaller version of the G-Wagen.

The car’s 800-volt charging architecture enables an all-electric range of 248 miles in just 15 minutes under ideal charging conditions.
Bi-directional charging is possible, providing vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) power options. V2H technology allows cars to power homes during service outages.

Mercedes says the concept car’s interior design focuses on “superior comfort and convenience for an electric and digital future,” it suggests. It also brings into focus the aspects of sustainability championed by the automaker, with virtually carbon-free steel, carbon-reduced aluminium, sustainably produced leather upholstery and paper trim.
It features a new embroidered interpretation of the Mercedes-Benz laurel wreath and comes in a silver and crystal white color palette and sits within the spacious conservatory.

The MBUX Super Screen on the dashboard is illuminated with efficient Mini-LED technology and displays 3D graphics for the first time in the Vision EQXX.
The car’s air vents also feature a fresh take on the typical Mercedes turbo design. They are paired with an analog temperature ring, allowing users to adjust the climate in new ways.
A glass cover near the center console allows the rider to see into the car’s brain and bears the words MB OS.
