Michelle Charlesworth energizes the crowd at StandUp2MS Comedy Club Benefit Dinner at Gotham Comedy Club in Chelsea, Manhattan

CHELSEA, Manhattan (WABC) — A fundraiser brings a night of laughter to a New York City comedy club with the help of members of the Eyewitness News team.

Anchor and reporter Michelle Charlesworth entertained the crowd at the StandUp2MS Comedy Club Benefit Dinner on Monday night.

The fundraiser was held at the Gotham Comedy Club in Chelsea.

The aim is to get people to donate to multiple sclerosis (MS) research.

StandUp2MS aims to raise $3 million by the end of 2024 for an ongoing MS research collaboration between Vartanian’s lab at Weill Cornell Medical College and Rockefeller University.
