The Expo Route connects Montreal’s South Shore to Metro Optic’s dense fiber optic network on the Island of Montreal. It provides access to more than 30 large data centers using redundant and diverse fiber optic rings over which Metro Optic delivers high-capacity telecommunications services. The route is designed for Montreal’s fast-growing community of large-scale data users, which includes global cloud providers, telecom operators, universities, as well as local digital industries and urban centres.
Additionally, this data superhighway gives customers direct access to the largest digital onramp of public cloud services, as well as key long-distance routes south to the United States, east to the Maritimes and Europe, and west to Toronto, Vancouver and Asia.
