King Charles paid tribute to his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on the first anniversary of her death on Friday.

In his tribute, the King said: “As we mark the first anniversary of the passing of the late Her Majesty the Queen and the first anniversary of my accession, we recall with deep affection her long life, her dedicated service and what she meant to so many of us.”
“I’m also very grateful for the love and support my wife and I have shown this year and we will do our best to serve everyone.”

Alongside the tribute, a photo was shared of the late queen, 42, wearing a Garter robe and Grand Duchess Vladimir’s tiara.
This official color photo was taken by Cecil Beaten in 1968 and was hand-picked by the King to mark the anniversary.
In London, a 41-gun salute will be fired in Hyde Park in memory of the late monarch.


In another tribute to Instagram, a colorful photo of the late Queen was shared on Friday morning.
The photo was captioned “In Love and Eternal Memory.” “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 21 April 1926 to 8 September 2022.”

King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, are not expected to make any public appearances, but will instead spend the day “quietly and privately” at Balmoral.
The King reportedly did not invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to a royal gathering to mark the first anniversary of the Queen’s death – even though they are in Europe for the Invictus Games the next day.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, whose feud with the company has intensified, will arrive in Düsseldorf, Germany, just 24 hours after the royals met at Balmoral Castle.
But sources told The Sun that “no contact has been made with them yet.”
The trip to Germany will be their first European appearance together since the funeral of the late monarch on September 19, 2022.
