Interval is an innovative educational technology (ed-tech) startup from Kerala that has won international acclaim for its pioneering approach to education.
The start-up achieved such extraordinary results that it was selected as part of Finland’s prestigious Talent Boost program, an initiative of the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs that aims to attract technical talent and investors from different industries. Notably, Interval is the only Indian startup to receive this prestigious invitation.
The global technology event Experience Tampere, the largest city in Northern Europe and the second largest city in Finland, witnessed this noteworthy achievement. Tampere is known for having the best startup ecosystem in Europe.
Over the course of the four-day conference, Interval founder Rameez Ali had the opportunity to network with some of the world’s most accomplished startup mentors and accelerators.
Sharing his thoughts on the experience, Ali said: “The support we have received has been truly outstanding. Additionally, we are grateful for the support provided by the Finnish government in facilitating our expansion into Europe. Finland has become a strong advocate of edtech platforms , these platforms play a key role in advancing the education sector. This provides a range of lucrative opportunities for international entrepreneurs.”
Currently, Interval has more than 4,000 dedicated teachers and 218 employees. Serving over 25,000 students across 30 countries, the platform’s journey began in 2021 and is headquartered in Areekode, Malappuram.
Interval has generated a staggering revenue of Rs 15 crore in just two years since its inception. Alibaba also revealed that the company is strategically preparing various expansion initiatives, with a focus on the European market. Interval has established a significant presence in the GCC and MENA regions, with its headquarters in Dubai. Additionally, the company is actively considering Finland as the headquarters for its European expansion, further solidifying its global presence.
