Billionaire Elon Musk is a supporter of Dogecoin and seems to have been working on eliminating bots on the X platform (formerly Twitter) after acquiring it for $54 billion in 2022. Since the many measures that had been taken still failed to effectively reduce the number of bots on the platform, Musk turned to a new strategy, namely paying to use X. But does Dogecoin qualify as a payment plan?
Elon Musk wants X users to pay to play games
Interestingly, Elon Musk is considering putting the entire X website behind a paywall. The billionaire revealed this while speaking to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to Musk, he is considering this option as a way to reduce bot activity on social media platforms.
Musk’s reasoning is that if all accounts had to pay to access the platform, the bad actors who created these bots would pay a greater price to continue their activities. The hope is that rising operating costs will lead to fewer robots being deployed.
Explaining how each account will be paid, the SpaceX CEO said X will introduce “lower tier pricing.” In this case, each account pays a small fee to access the platform, which is separate from the fees users pay to access its X Blue premium services.
He suggested that given that these bots cost very little to deploy, at a fraction of a penny, having each account pay a few dollars to access the platform would significantly increase their operating costs. Musk also seemed to be in trouble on the robot issue, telling the prime minister it was “the only way I can think of to fight this huge robot army.”

Does Dogecoin fit into this plan?
Ever since Elon Musk took over the X platform, Dogecoin investors have been waiting with bated breath to see if he would eventually implement DOGE payments on the platform as he has previously talked about.
These speculations are further fueled by the fact that Musk has gone on to implement most of the ideas for the social media platform he highlighted in his recently released biography.
However, despite remaining a staunch supporter of the meme coin, Musk has not said whether Dogecoin payments will appear on the X. But considering that DOGE is good at this kind of micro-transactions, if X becomes “Alipay”, these micro-transactions will be implemented. to-play’ service, this might be a good choice for this platform.
