“Dancing with the Stars” cast member Shanna Burgess is confused by a celebrity appearing on Season 32 of the competition show.
In the latest episode of her “Old-ish” podcast, she called out a contestant and why he shouldn’t be on “Dancing with the Stars.”
“I want to share someone who I’m absolutely shocked by, and that’s football player Adrian Peterson…” Burgess shared on her platform.
“This man has been accused of abusing his four-year-old son and punishing him, which is devastating to me.”
In 2018, the former Vikings player told Bleacher Report that he still used a belt to discipline his son despite serving a one-year suspension from the NFL over child abuse charges.

“One day I had to discipline my son and spank him with a belt,” Peterson reportedly said.
Peterson, 38, was charged with felony child abuse in 2014 after allegedly spanking his 4-year-old son with a switch.
The boy reportedly suffered cuts and bruises all over his body.

He was fined $4,000, performed 80 hours of community service, and was sentenced to two years of probation in addition to a one-year suspension from the NFL.
Meanwhile, Dancing with the Stars pros continue to express disappointment in Peterson’s casting.
“I’m telling you right now, if I walked into a room and it was my partner, I would turn around and walk right out. Now as a mother, there’s no way I could stand that.”

Peterson was arrested last February when airport police said they responded to an alleged domestic violence incident on a flight to Houston.
Police said the plane had exited the gate but was forced to turn around due to an alleged verbal and physical altercation between Peterson and his wife, Ashley Peterson.
In May, the couple announced they were expecting their third child.

Peterson will dance with “Dancing with the Stars” pro Britt Stewart.
After the two were assigned to dance together, Stewart’s Instagram account was flooded with negative comments as fans disapproved of the partnership.
