Deion Sanders’ answer to who he thinks is the best coach in college football should surprise no one.
“Let me look in the mirror so I can look at it,” Sanders told CBS’s “60 Minutes.”
There are a lot of things you can say about Sanders, but lack of confidence isn’t one of them.
After leading the Colorado college football program to three big wins to start, it’s hard to say he’s wrong entirely.
Buffalo defeated Colorado State in a dramatic double overtime game on Saturday night when Deion Sanders’ son Shadell Sanders and the offense launched a drive late in the fourth quarter to put the game away. The score was tied and sent into overtime.
“Do you think I’m going to sit here and tell people that?” Sanders continued. “Do you think this is the way I act? Did someone else do this to me?”

While Sanders tended to answer the question, he was quick to mention his admiration for Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
“But I tell you, I love, I adore, I respect, every time I do a commercial with Coach Saban, it’s a gift,” he said. “Just sitting in front of him and listening to him talk and throwing out some other stuff so I could hear his perspective on it. Because he forgot more things than I accomplished. So, as a student, I looked up to this wonderful teacher who would say, ‘Throw me what little you know.'”
Sanders’ arrival in Colorado made the show a must-see, with many high-profile celebrities in Boulder, Colorado, for Saturday’s Colorado-Colorado showdown.

The Buffaloes will face several tough opponents in the coming weeks.
They hit the road next Saturday to play No. 10 Oregon and No. 5 USC next week.
