the angels— Beloved game show host Bob Barker’s cause of death has been determined to be Alzheimer’s disease, according to a death certificate.
Buck died at his home in Los Angeles on August 26 at the age of 99.
A death certificate issued by Los Angeles County listed Robert William Barker’s cause of death as “Alzheimer’s disease.” It also lists health factors such as high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, and hyperlipidemia.
It’s unclear how long Buck has struggled with Alzheimer’s disease, as it’s not something he’s discussed publicly.
His longtime partner, Nancy Burnett, told Witness News in a statement: “Bob Barker was a regular participant in conversations and bedside exercises until two months before his death.”

His cremated body was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on September 13, certificates show. His wife of more than 36 years, Dorothy Jo Gideon, died of lung cancer in 1981 and is buried at Forest Lawn.
Barker hosted “The Price is Right” from 1972 to 2007, a stunning span that made him a household name and earned him 19 Daytime Emmy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award.
He’s also a well-known animal activist, donating millions to related causes and reminding viewers to neuter their pets at the end of the show.
