The Pragyan rover has moved within 100 meters of the lander. “We will start putting them to sleep in the next day or two because they have to survive the night,” ISRO Chairman S Somanath said in an update on the Chandrayaan-3 mission to the moon.
“Meanwhile, Pragyan Rover has traveled more than 100 meters above the moon and is still going,” ISRO tweeted.
“The lander and rover are still operational. Our scientific instrumentation team is doing a lot of work right now,” he said after the successful launch of the PSLV-C55 Aditya L1 mission from SHAR at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota on Saturday. Mission Control said.
India’s lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3, touched down at the lunar south pole at 6.04pm on Aug. 23, joining the four-man club and becoming the first country to land on an unknown surface.
