Brooklyn woman pushing stroller hit and killed by car

BASS BEACH, Brooklyn (WABC) — A woman pushing a stroller was hit and killed by a car in Brooklyn.

The incident happened just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday at 25th Avenue and Bath Avenue in the Bath Beach section of Brooklyn.

A 66-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl were pushing a stroller when they were struck by a 2022 Ram pickup truck, officials said. The vehicle was turning left on Bath Avenue before striking the victim in the crosswalk.

The woman was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The child is being examined for scrapes and bruises.

The 56-year-old driver of the car stayed at the scene after the incident. No charges were immediately filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
