Network optimization, streamlining operations through a digital-first approach and enhancing passenger experience are part of the new vision unveiled by Air India Express (AIX) Managing Director Aloke Singh at a town hall meeting.
The airline’s new brand identity is expected to be unveiled within the next two months. AIX started operations in 2005, focusing on short-haul international routes.
AirAsia India will merge with AIX and the combined entity will serve domestic and international markets. Company sources had earlier said the airline would induct 50 Boeing 737 Max planes by December next year.
“Our vision encapsulates our key differentiators – making meaningful connections, delivering unique experiences and delivering best-in-class value with an Indian warmth. Fleet and network expansion,” Singh said in his speech.
